If you’re seeing this, it’s thanks to the latest new software taking mobile blogging to the next level.
I’ve been able to post to this blog from my phone for a long time, because WordPress blogs can be set up to allow posts by email. I’ve even been able to photo-blog (write a post with a picture) by sending an email with the picture attached to an address on my Flickr account.
Today we enter a new era. I’m posting directly to the blog thanks to a WordPress client for Android running on my G1 phone. I’m using wpToGo.
The software promises to let me post pictures directly from the phone instead of by email, and even apply some simple formatting. But let’s not get too carried away.
Why would people want to talk on a phone when there are so many more interesting things to do with it?
